Allyson Felix

Track & Field

The most decorated Track & Field athlete of all time, Allyson Felix retired from the sport in 2022. Felix is not only a successful athlete but an inspiring activist who uses her platform and voice to advocate for women’s issues like maternal health and girls’ empowerment. She is the Co-Founder of Saysh, a running shoe made for and by women. Since joining Right To Play as an ambassador in 2011, she has made numerous trips to Right To Play programs including to Uganda and Mozambique to see the power of play’s impact first-hand. As a member of the Right To Play USA board, she is one of our most ardent athlete supporters.

“As I've grown and had a lot of different experiences, it’s brought me to this place where I want to do things that have impact, that are meaningful,” says Allyson. “The work that’s being done here (at Right To Play) regarding maternal health and early pregnancy and trying to delay that really resonates with me. I want to focus on girls, and as my work with Right To Play continues, I want to be working wherever gender inequality is an issue. Every time I meet with these girls, I just feel I’m where I should be.”
