Heather Ochalski

Executive Director, Indigenous Programs

In Heather’s previous roles, she led the development of curriculum rooted in Inuit pedagogy that are now available to early years and high school programs. She also has experience in developing reconciliation strategies and performance evaluation frameworks. Among her many accomplishments is a publication on Inuit child welfare in Volume 5 of the Final Report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada: “Canada’s Residential Schools: The Legacy”.

Having worked at the national level to address policy advancement issues in health and social development, environment, and education, she brings with her a wealth of knowledge, experience, and leadership to her role as the Executive Director of Indigenous Programs at Right to Play Canada.
