Michel Diatta

Michel has over 18 years of experience as a humanitarian worker, including 7 years in senior leadership positions in Niger, Sierra Leone, Chad, and Burundi, where he built strong skills in the areas of strategy design and realization, resource acquisition, program planning, budgeting and execution, financial management and compliance, safeguarding, high-level representation, engagement and partnership.

Prior to that, Michel worked in Dakar as a Regional Humanitarian Advisor for two and a half years strategically supporting 7 West Africa countries on disaster preparedness, response and recovery. Most recently, Michel has been Integrated Program and Strategy Director for World Vision International in Burundi, East Africa, providing leadership to a country wide intervention of 26 million USD budget including over 70 projects and programs implemented by 230 plus staff mainly in the development-humanitarian-peace nexus.

Michel holds a Masters of Art from the University Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar. He is married and is the proud father of two daughters.
